Instruction to use email after Migration to New NIC eMail Platform

As you are aware that the indiapost email is migrated to new NIC email platform,Important instructions for accessing your email account on the new NICeMail platform. Ensure a smooth transition by following these steps.

1. Access to Old Email Platform

• Urgent: You will be blocked from accessing your email account on the old platform after 24 hours. Kindly read these instructions carefully.

2. New Email Platform Access

• URL: Type https://mail.gov.in/ to access your email on the new NICeMail platform.
• Login: Enter your full email address (xxxxxxxx@indiapost.gov.in) on the login page.
• Password: Use the same email password you currently use.

3. OTP Authentication

• SMS OTP: You will receive an OTP via SMS on your registered mobile number.
• Authenticate: Enter the OTP to authenticate and access your account on the new platform.

4. Post Login Actions

• Password Change: Change your password after the first successful login.
• Profile Update: Update your profile information.

5. Mobile Device Management (MDM)

• Install MDM: Follow the instructions on the web interface to install MDM for accessing private and secure mobile apps on iOS or Android devices.

6. Data Migration Check

• Dashboard: Check the dashboard on the web interface to confirm the migration status of your emails, contacts, calendar, and filters.
• Discrepancies: If any discrepancies are found, send screenshots highlighting the mismatch to [email protected].

7. Deletion of Old Data

• Data Deletion: Data on the old email platform (https://email.gov.in) will be deleted one week after your first login on the new NICeMail platform.
