Revised Timelines for Post exam to the Post of PA/SA for the Vacancy Year 2024
The Ministry of Communications, Department of Posts, has issued revised timelines for all activities related to the common LDCE/Competitive examination for the promotion/recruitment to the cadre/post of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants (PA/SA) for the vacancy year 2024. These timelines are also applicable to the posts of Postman, Mail Guard, and Multi-Tasking Staff.

In response to the directions from Hon’ble MOC to expedite the post-examination activities, a video conference chaired by the Member (P) was convened with all Heads of Circles on 16.07.2024. The views and suggestions were considered, and the following revised timelines for all activities were issued.
Key Points:
- The examination will be held on 21st July 2024.
- Provisional answer keys will be published on the evening of 21st July 2024.
- Comments and feedback from candidates will be compiled starting from 25th July 2024.
- The answer key will be finalized by 29th July 2024.
- Written results for DEST will be finalized by 5th August 2024, with DEST held by 11th August 2024.
- Results will be declared, and divisions/units allocated by 14th August 2024.
- Promotion orders and offers of appointment will be issued by 17th August 2024.
This timeline ensures a streamlined process for the promotion and recruitment of candidates, adhering to the expedited schedule mandated by the Ministry.
