Posting of Rakhi Envelope sales in SAP
The Department of Posts, Government of India, has issued a notification regarding the accounting procedure for the sale of Rakhi envelopes in West Bengal. The notification, dated August 7, 2024, states that the break-up of the sale amount of each Rakhi envelope (Rs. 10/-) should be charged in the following GL codes in the current FY 2024-25:
- 1800010100 – Retail Post – Rs. 8.48/-
- 8866102980 – CGST – GST Collection on Business Auxiliary Services – Rs. 0.76/- (9%)
- 8866103000 – SGST – GST Collection on Business Auxiliary Services – Rs. 0.76/- (9%)
