Rule 3 Online Transfer for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS)

This post is for GDS employees interested in transferring within the department. Here’s a breakdown of the key points about Rule 3 transfers:

Applying for Transfer

• Applications are submitted through the online portal: https://rule3.cept.gov.in/
• You can apply for a transfer a maximum of 2 times (males) or 3 times (females) during your service period.

Eligibility

• You must have completed one year of engagement before applying.

Transfer Lists

• Two transfer lists are published per cycle:
  • Clear Vacancy: Includes vacancies arising from resignations, promotions, or discharge from engagement.
  • Transferee Vacancy (tentative post): Currently unavailable for May 2024 Transfers

Transfer Limitations

• Currently, transfers are only allowed within your Same TRCA (Territorial Recruiting Circle Area).

Transfer on Spouse Grounds

• If your spouse works in the Department of Posts, other central/state departments, or PSUs, you can apply for a transfer to be closer to them. You’ll need a certificate issued by their department (format available on the portal).

Prioritization of Applications

• If there are multiple applications for the same transfer, priority will be given in the following order:
