The Government of India, through the Ministry of Communication and Department of Posts, is launching the “Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 3.0” to promote patriotism by encouraging the display of the national flag. This initiative follows the successful campaigns of the past two years, where millions of national flags were distributed through post offices and the ePost Office Portal.
Campaign Overview
Starting from August 1, 2024, national flags will be available for purchase both online and offline. The goal is to ensure that every household can proudly display the national flag during the campaign period, culminating on Independence Day, August 15, 2024.
Online Sale Through ePost Office Portal
National flags can be purchased online via the ePost Office Portal. Here’s what you need to know:
- Sale Period: August 1, 2024, to August 13, 2024 (until 23:59 hrs).
- Price: Each flag is priced at Rs. 25, with no GST applicable.
- Order Limit: Maximum of 5 flags per customer.
- Delivery: Free doorstep delivery before August 14, 2024.
Offline Sale at Post Offices
For those preferring offline purchases, flags will be available at various post office counters across the country:
- Sale Period: August 1, 2024, to August 14, 2024.
- Availability: Flags will be distributed from existing stock in each circle.
Special Instructions
- Bihar Circle: No stock is currently available. Bihar Circle can obtain flags from Uttar Pradesh or other neighboring circles.
- Flag Code Compliance: Customers must adhere to the latest regulations of the National Flag Code during purchase.
Guidelines for Sale and Distribution
- ePost Office Portal: NIC will facilitate the sale of flags online, similar to other postal products like Gangajal and philatelic items.
- Post Office Counters: Circles are responsible for making arrangements for offline sales.
- Stock Management: If stock runs out, circles should acquire flags from the nearest available circle.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Circles must monitor the delivery process and report daily on both online and offline sales.
